Business Continuity Plan
Revised as of March 2008

Officially established in 1995, Invesco Aim's Business Continuity Team currently maintains business continuity sites and plans to support two timeframes: intra-day (short term 1-3 days) and long term (3+ days). Invesco Aim's business continuity plan (BCP) is designed to ensure that Invesco Aim will continue to meet its fiduciary responsibilities regardless of the environment.

NASD Rule 3510 (e):

Building Related Interruption
  • Short Term Interruption: In the event of a short term or intra-day interruption (1-3 days), Invesco Aim's Houston, Texas recovery site is designed to finish out the first business day of an interruption. This facility is equipped with networked PCs, phones, shared printers, and office supplies for finishing the workday's critical processes. If necessary, this facility can operate for several days.
  • Recovery Time Objective: Minutes - The intra-day continuity process is seamless to shareholders, and constituent businesses.
  • Long Term Interruption: In the event of a long term interruption (3+ days), Invesco Aim maintains a recovery site in Austin, Texas. This facility includes a technology infrastructure that is synchronized with Houston, and maintains wide-area network connections with Houston Greenway Plaza, Houston recovery site, Invesco Aim's data center and other corporate locations. The Austin facility also provides seats for the recovery teams, equipped with networked PCs, phones, fax machines and other equipment to be used by various departments during a recovery effort.
  • Recovery Time Objective: If a building interruption is extended, the recovery teams would relocate to the long-term facilities during non-business hours and re-establish continuity processes starting the next business day. This change would be seamless to shareholders, and constituent businesses.
  • Customer Service and Critical Business Phone and Fax Lines: Invesco Aim's Business Continuity plans include pre-defined phone re-routing to ensure that business calls will be handled. In addition to routing critical phones to the recovery sites, Invesco Aim's Denver office will handle customer service calls and processing in support of Invesco Aim Houston. Likewise, in the event of the Invesco Aim Denver office being disabled, Invesco Aim Houston would handle their customer service calls and processing.

Data Center Loss:

Invesco Aim's primary data center is housed in an offsite building designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and equipped with alternate power and communication lines. In a catastrophic event that caused the loss of the data center building, the data center network will be restored to the Austin recovery network.
Recovery Time Objective: Pre-defined highly critical systems can be restored in four hours after the Executive's Disaster Declaration. The full Austin recovery network, with all pre-defined recovery systems, can be restored in less than 24 hours from declaration.

It is Invesco Aim's intent to continue to conduct business during each of the aforementioned scenarios.

Invesco Aim's BCP is designed to be seamless to our shareholders and business constituents alike. However, should an event interrupt our preferred emergency management methods, detailed plans exist to keep shareholders, business constituents, and employees informed of Invesco Aim's operational status.
